GEOTHERMAL

Geothermal energy is energy that uses heat from within the earth and creates steam or hot water. We use the hot water to heat buildings or generate electricity.
Geothermal energy is created when cooler water sinks in to the earth’s crust, the water heats up and rises to the surface. Then it goes directly in to the turbines where the power plants create it into energy.
Geothermal energy is the heat from the Earth. It's clean and sustainable. Resources of geothermal energy range from the shallow ground to hot water and hot rock found a few miles beneath the Earth's surface, and down even deeper to the extremely high temperatures of molten rock called magma.
The word geothermal is a Greek word that means heat from the earth. We can make the heat into steam. We use turbines to turn steam into electricity to boil water or heat buildings and even to turn on a light bulb.
Geothermal is power extracted from heat stored in the earth. This geothermal energy originates from the original formation of the planet, from radioactive decay of minerals, from volcanic activity and from solar energy absorbed at the surface.
